Steve Barr Memorial Endowment
Steve Barr died at a young age. He was
a devoted father and husband, distinguished architect and a
passionate supporter of recreation and parks.
As a lasting tribute to Steve Barr,
the Recreation for Life Foundation has established an endowment in
his name.
In his career, Steve, as a partner in
BarrRyder Architects and Planners, specialized in superior
architectural design of recreation, sport and cultural facilities.
Steve was a stalwart supporter of ARPA
and its partner the Recreation for Life Foundation. He believed in
the value of the recreation and parks sector.
Whenever he could Steve worked hard to
advocate for the need and importance of community recreation and
parks services in Alberta.
The proceeds from the Steve Barr
Memorial Endowment will be strategically used in legacy recognition
of Steve and to advance the growth and development of recreation and
parks.
